If you would like to gain some workplace skills, interact with diverse women, and contribute to your community, we are looking for volunteers in the following areas, but not limited to just these things.

Reception / Office assistance
  • Answering the phone
  • Typing up documents
  • Keeping stats
Volunteer Tax Preparation
Fundraising events
    • BBQ Fundraisers
    • Cafe Femenino Coffee sales events
    • Rose Button sales (to fund Dec. 6th events)
Set up and Tear down for events such as:
  • Dec. 6th Candle Light vigil
  • Herstory Breakfast
  • International Women's Day
  • Five Feminist Minutes
  • Kate Reid Benefit Concert
Volunteering in our supportive atmosphere will help you gain experience and skills that you may transfer to a work place environment. Take the opportunity to interact in the community as well as participate in ongoing workshops that will build your confidence and knowledge.

This volunteer driven project is aimed at reducing barriers to women accessing resources they need to move forward in their lives. Through support, skill development workshops, and information/awareness sessions, women can develop skills that enable them to address access barriers. This project utilizes a peer support approach that is responsive to the diversity of women’s experiences and is of particular benefit to women who are marginalized and therefore do not fit the criteria of traditional programs.
