Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. A V-Day 2010 Campaign Event to Stop
Violence against Women and Girls.

7:00 PM for Wine and Raffle and Performance starts at 8:00 PM.
Tickets: $15 for Non Students, $12 for students.

- Seeking Nominations for the 3rd Annual Gert Beadle Award
- To be presented on International Women's Day 2009.
- Open to nominate individuals or groups.
- The aim of the GERT BEADLE AWARD is to recognize
the value of the invisible work that is done at the community level to
enhance women's equality. The Kelowna Women's Resource Centre
understands that the process of change towards women's equality is a
slow one, and that it requires perseverance, determination, commitment,
and above all solidarity and teamwork. This is why the criterion
for this award is a broad one - we hope to recognize work done at all
levels, as well as the diverse needs, experiences, and values of women.
The nominee must be a woman living in the Kelowna area, over the age of
18 and committed to women's equality and social justice. The
nominee may also be a group. The winner needs to be available the
evening of March 8th 2009, to accept the award at KWRC's International
Women's Day Event to be held at Okanagan College. The
winner will be chosen by the Gert Beadle Nominations Committee.

- In support of the essential services and supports for women that the Kelowna Women's Resource Centre provides our community.
- A non juried festival featuring original art
designed and created by women and welcomes painting, printmaking,
sculpture and pottery, jewelery, drawing, photography and fabric art.
- A non refundable $25 entry fee is charged to each
participant. In addition a donation of 20% of sales will be made at the
end of the day on March 21, 2009 (Receipts can be provided on request.)
- Registration will be accepted on a "first come first
served" basis. Confirmation of entry is dependent on receipt of entry
fee. Application forms will only be accepted up to Friday March 13,
2009. Please note that the available spaces may be filled prior to the

- Initial stages of beginning the Internet Literacy and Online Safety Project.
- A project to help women feel comfortable accessing the
internet, and to teach them about Online Safety. Of special interest helping senior, low
